Thinking about Weight Loss?
Research has revealed that nearly two thirds of British men and women are on a diet “most of the time”. There seems to be a very popular game in town that I call “Slimming System Surfing” and the rules of this game are simple: Follow a weight loss system for a few weeks or months and then stop, and after a period of time embark on the next diet and so on and on…. Now this might well be a popular past-time that attracts many participants but I’m sure that you’ll agree that it’s not much fun at all! The majority of people trying to lose weight end up in this soul destroying cycle of starting a diet, losing some weight, then losing the momentum or motivation or will power and then falling off the diet and usually putting any weight lost back on – and sometimes gaining even more! It’s really no wonder then that those women and men find their self esteem considerably lowered and are left feeling pretty miserable and depressed after what they consider to be yet another failed attempt to lose weight.
In order to achieve weight loss and to maintain that weight loss you need to change the way you view not only food but, and much more importantly, how you view yourself: Attention must be directed to raising your self esteem, developing a healthy self respect and removing the barriers in your mind that are preventing you from achieving and maintaining your weight loss goal.
